Sometimes one wonders how much a story can touch another. In this case, as a community continues to rattle around a very special girl, her story reached far beyond the state of North Dakota. In fact, the attention of some very well-known, household, award-winning music artists and idols.
North Dakota, we have a chance now to bid on items that just don't show up. Extraordinary people donated extraordinary things, and exactly what it is happening right here.. Take a deep breath. Saturday, January 21st at 5 pm in Glen Ullin.

The Basket, Silent, AND LIVE Auctions will take place on a special evening during the A Night To Benefit Harper. The proceeds will go to aid in defraying the medical costs for Harper Wetzel of Glen Ullin, North Dakota who is battling a brain tumor.

Miranda Lambert has a special connection to the relatives of dear Harper. You see Harper's cousin and idol is Gwen Sebastian. Gwen Sebastian, the singer-songwriter, a Hebron, North Dakota native who was on The Voice, now tours with Miranda Lambert. Are you following along with the connection? HARPER WETZEL
Meet Harper Wetzel, a wonderful 7-year-old that attends Glen Ullin Elementary School. Harper was recently diagnosed in October with craniopharyngioma. Craniopharyngioma is a brain tumor that is near the pituitary gland. There are only 100 people per year diagnosed with this specific tumor. Harper is the daughter of Jesse and Kari Bilman (Glen Ullin). Her Grandparents are Russ and Pam (Schantz) Walter (Dickinson), Kevin Billman (Colorado) and Clarence and Beatrice Wetzel (New Salem).
Monetary donations are also being accepted at all Dakota Community Bank & Trust locations for Harper Wetzel.
