Mandan Rodeo Days: Tigirlily Gold's Largest Headlining Show Ever!

Mandan Rodeo Days kicked off in a big way on Saturday, June 29th, 2024!

North Dakota's very own Tigirlily Gold was your headliner for entertainment for this year's Mandan Rodeo Days. In fact, it was an evening showcasing nothing but NoDak musicans.

Two other talented local acts opened for Tigirlily Gold, Savanah Benz, who is a graduate of Bismarck St. Mary's and is now going to school in Nashville, pursuing her dreams of being a country music star.

Frantic Anarchy, a well-known local band, has opened for the likes of Skillet, Hairball, and many others, adding a rock flavor to the show.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect for an evening concert, as the skies cleared and set the stage for the stars to come out both on and off the stage.

I had the pleasure of introducing Tigirlily Gold to the crowd.

I've been watching the ladies of Tigirlily Gold for years and it's been pretty easy to see even earlier on in their career, they were going places.

I mean, after all, they are now the reigning ACM Best New Duo of the year.

That's pretty big. When I saw them performing "I Tried a Ring On" at the ACM's, I knew my prediction was coming true. What's ironic, just over a year ago I was interviewing Tigirlily Gold on my radio show and I was catching up with Kendra and Kristi the topic of country music awards show came up.

I forget which one we were talking about, but the ladies were expressing how they just attended a particular awards show for the first time, and that had always been a dream of theirs. I made the comment, "It won't be long and you'll be performing at the awards shows." Boom! I got that one right.

Man, did Tigirlily Gold bring it on Saturday night, and when they told the crowd this was the largest headlining show they've ever played to before, their fans went crazy. Their show was polished, high energy, and on point.

I can't wait to see what's next for these talented ladies from Hazen, North Dakota, who love our state and will never forget where they came from.
