Kären McCormick finds that meeting a new man is the quickest way to get over a previous relationship in her new song, "Dancing With Him Tonight."

The 23-year-old Brazzaville, Congo, native is releasing the hypnotic, sultry pop-country song as her new single on Friday (Feb. 22), and she's letting Taste of Country fans hear it first in this exclusive premiere. McCormick wrote "Dancing With Him Tonight," in which she professes that meeting a "cute guy" at the rodeo is "making getting over him much easier."

The lyrics to "Dancing With Him Tonight" go on to describe the kind of man who makes her feel like dropping her reservations and just letting go.

"Giddy on up cowboy / Show them how it's done / A little bit of yeehaw never hurt no one / Country boy with the Southern drawl / Quite the gentleman, he knows how to have fun / I like the way he moves when he walks by / And I wouldn't mind dancing with him tonight," she sings in the chorus.

"'Dancing With Him Tonight' is about a person coming into your life and having such an impact on you that you do the things you wouldn't usually do," McCormick tells us. "I'm a terrible dancer, so I'm the last one to get up in front of a group of people and dance. But for some people, you're willing to step out of your comfort zone — and that's the feeling I wanted to capture when I wrote it."

McCormick played two dates on Kelsea Ballerini’s Unapologetically Tour with Walker Hayes, and she's also opened for Terry McDermott of The Voice. The singer released her autobiographical debut single, “Just a Song,” in March of 2018. She followed with her sophomore single, “We Were on Fire,” in August of 2018. McCormick plans to release her debut EP in the summer of 2019.

"Dancing With Him Tonight" is currently available for pre-order at iTunes and pre-save via Spotify. For more information about Kären McCormick, visit her official website, or follow her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
