Jimmy John's History
They are a national chain that is headquartered in Champaign, Illinois. They have a total of 2,800 locations, with 98 percent of them being a franchise. According to Wikipedia, Jimmy John's was founded by Jimmy John Liautaud back in 1983 after he received an ultimatum from his father. He was told to join the military or start a business. Liautaud decided to go the business route, and first began as a hot dog joint, which eventually changed to sandwiches due to expenses. I would've thought hot dogs would've been cheaper.
