If there's one thing Bismarck families look forward to every fall, it's going to a local pumpkin patch, strolling through a corn maze, taking a hayride, and picking out pumpkins at a pumpkin patch. Big news just broke about one of our most popular pumpkin patches in the area.

According to KFYR TV, Bismarck's Papa's Pumpkin Patch could soon be under new ownership. The pumpkin patch has been operating in Bismarck for more than 40 years, and now the owners have decided to hand over the reins to a new owner.

At this time, little is known about the agreement, but the source says the owners are working with their neighbors, Grandpa Al's Hayrides. They have been partners with Grandpa Al's for 30 years, so it seems this should be a fairly seamless handover.

If you're worried about what this may mean for this fall, the source says the pumpkin patch will still open and operate as usual from September 12th through October 25th. If you've never been to the patch, you can find it at 4205 Burnt Creek Loop, in Bismarck.
