Going to the movie theater is something we all do from time to time. It's nice to get off the old couch and get out and see the movie that has everyone talking.

If you are planning to go to the movies soon, there are some things you should know. For the greater good and my sanity, I put together a list of things you should never do in a North Dakota movie theater.

1. Sit By Me

Yes, don't sit by me specifically, but I also mean this for everyone, generally. If you walk into a mostly empty movie theater and you choose to sit next to the only other people in there, you're the worst.

2. Don't Snitch

I don't care what I brought from home, it could be a whole rotisserie chicken, you better keep your mouth shut. If you rat me out to a pimple-faced teenager and get me kicked out, we're going to rumble. Mind ya business.

3. Unleash Your Animals

If you bring your kids to the movie theater, there are rules. If they are in a kids' movie, we can be a little more lenient--they're allowed to be a little rambunctious watching their favorite new cartoon, BUT if your kids are in an adult movie, they better be chill.

Don't let them run up and down the aisles, don't let them scream and be a bother. You might not feel comfortable yelling at them, but I do and I will.

4. Get Up

You only get one free pass after you find your spot. I get it, if you really have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the movie, you can get up, and I will move out of your way as you scootch down the aisle.

That said, you are only allowed to inconvenience me once. If you get up multiple times, I'm going to get passive-aggressive reaaaal quick. I'm going to make it harder and harder for you to squeeze down the aisle.

You need me to move my legs? --No. Tough stuff. I'm done with your nonsense. If you have to go to the bathroom that much, stay home where you can be two feet from a toilet or wear a diaper. Your bladder problems are not my bladder problems.

Those are just some of the many rules you should follow if you go to the movies in North Dakota. Hit us up in our app and tell us some of yours.
