Newborn - Age 4

No, this age group cannot be left alone at home.

Ages 5-8

No, kids this age may not be left at home alone, but they are permitted to play outside unattended, as long as they are in visual sight or hearing distance.

Age 9

A child at this age may be left at home alone during the day for only two hours at a time. They can also play outside unattended.

Ages 10-11

Children in this age group may be left home alone during the daytime for more than two hours at a time. They cannot be alone during sleeping hours.

Ages 12-14

Children in this age group can be left at home alone for an extended period (during the hours before curfew).

Children of these ages can also play outside unattended.

They cannot be left alone overnight.

15-18

Kids these ages can be left at home alone, even overnight, based on their level of maturity as determined by the parent.
