One Of Bismarck’s Finest Restaurants Set To Close
Many times we have driven past this place without even batting an eye
That is somewhat typical, though for a lot of us, when we are just trying to get from A-B. From home to work, and repeat the process. Some of us also find ourselves stuck in a rut or routine where we don't tend to go out to eat much. I have to admit, this Bismarck restaurant was not on my radar.
After talking with a co-worker for only a couple of minutes, I found out how special Butterhorn210 is and has been since 2017, since they opened.
A humble, touching Facebook post about their future
Dear Bismarck/Mandan,
Shane and I have decided to close the doors of Butterhorn. To all of the guests that have passed through our doorway, you have all meant so much to Shane and I. From the regulars (you know who you are), to the travelers passing through, Thank You!
Butterhorn started because of the love we have for cooking and the restaurant industry. The close relationships we create through food are a beautiful thing, and we are so proud to be a part of that. We started it for family.
For the past eight years we have done our best to bring good food and a welcoming atmosphere to Bismarck/Mandan. Thank you to the community for supporting us over the years, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you to our amazing staff who have been with us through so much and have truly molded Butterhorn into what it has become. We are lucky to have staff that has been with us for many years, and have become a part of our family. That is rare in the restaurant industry.
It wasn’t because of business, food cost or staff…but restaurants aren’t meant to last forever. We can’t wait for a new chef and business owner to open up the next incredible restaurant here in our hometown. We love Bismarck. We love North Dakota.
Our last day will be June 24th. Please stop in, have a drink, and let us serve you one last time.
Love,
Butterhorn

I think they showed real class by saying they are looking forward to a ..."new chef and business owner to open up the next incredible restaurant here in our hometown"
