It seems like only yesterday that I packed up all my belongings and moved to North Dakota
It was 11 years ago that I left my hometown of San Diego, California, and moved to Fargo, North Dakota. I had an opportunity to get back into radio, and a job was offered to me, and I took it. Here is the crazy part, I had never seen snow fall, let alone walk in it - the coldest temperature I had ever experienced was around 35 degrees on the plus side.

The night before I left, I started watching the movie FARGO - I remember hitting pause about 5 minutes in. "Uh oh, what have I done?" Turned out to be the best move I ever made, for I am still living in North Dakota - I spent a year in Fargo, about 5 years in Minot, and now 5 here in Bismarck. I love the "less stress environment" and that old saying "North Dakota Nice" is so accurate - However, I can relate to those who have just moved to ND from out of state -
