Ok right out of the gate I want to make myself clear...

...at first, I was pretty annoyed when I sat around today thinking about the strange LOUD noise I heard early this morning. It rocked me out of a sound dream ( probably me on stage somewhere in front of a thousand people telling lame jokes ) - I'm talking EARLY in the morning - around 1:30. I couldn't figure out what the heck it was. A scraping metallic thundering sound was going on for what seemed like every 20-30 seconds. I wasn't sure if we were under attack by some outer space aliens or what.

I searched the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook page

I waited for about 10 minutes, but it kept going - the hideous annoying sound that was driving me nuts - and nobody seemed to immediately report what they heard on the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook page - until about 6 am. After about 70 comments so far ( 3:00 pm this afternoon )  - it was obvious that the mystery was solved in my book - Railroad Bridge. Yes, I was one of many who said the same thing - "There has to be some kind of city ordinance that prohibits ANYONE causing such misery" One such comment I completely empathized with " It was horrible. We barely slept. Once you hear it you can’t unhear it!"

Then I realized there are more important things going on than me, you know?

"Numerous news articles were published stating the pile driving at the railroad bridge construction would be starting soon and going around the clock"...then this one These overnight 2nd and 3rd shift work times were very well announced in the local paper and local news stations, with time and weeks scheduled out. They ( tv news) mentioned that homeowners within a certain radius also received mail explaining the issue. I'm not inside that radius but like most of you all.. I sure hear it. they need to get these bridge pylons set before the freeze"  I took a step back and realized I needed to quickly adjust my line of thinking - They have a tremendous job to do, and like one person also said, "most of us have no clue what goes on in our city early in the morning or late at night".

I have always respected those who have an understanding attitude, and I want to be more like that.
