Fishing Teaches Resilience and Skill-Building

Fishing can be used as a metaphor for overcoming emotional struggles. There will be good days and bad days, but success lies in pushing forward, one day and one skill at a time. It's an activity that encourages patience.

Why Nature Helps with Sobriety

Connecting with nature can help a person stay sober. Spending time in natural environments and engaging in outdoor activities such as fishing have several benefits that support sobriety and overall mental health.

Open to All Youth – No License Needed

The Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs event is open to youth of all ages. June 7th is a free fishing weekend in North Dakota and residents do not need a North Dakota Fishing License.
