It may be acceptable to talk about mental health, but it can be very difficult to talk about it.

These days, we are allowed to talk about mental health, but it still has such a stigma. So, it is weird to talk about it. But we - and I cannot stress this enough - must talk about our bad mental health days. Why? Because we are spending several days every single month from bad mental health.

The national average for Americans experiencing instances of bad mental health is 4.2 days a month.

Of all companies, one called CertaPet did some looking into the status of people's mental health at any point. The average amount of bad mental health days Americans experience is 4.2 days a month. North Dakotans reportedly experience bad mental health days slightly below the national average with 3.8 days. Do you know how many days per year that is?

North Dakotans reportedly experience bad mental health days slightly below the national average with 3.8 days.

If North Dakotans experience approximately 3.8 days per month of bad mental health days, that is equal to 45.6 bad mental health days per year! It can be a miserable existence on those bad mental health days. And it can be so hard to find peace with the underlying issues that put us in a poor state of mind. But it is important to find solace in something you believe in.

It is important to try to find help if you are struggling with your mental health.

You may have to seek out a therapist or other understanding person. Or maybe you find things like exercise, reading, or other forms of self-care are helpful. You may even have something where prescription medication is required. I personally find that talking to someone, finding good close friends, and having my pets have helped me feel good in my worst times. Those things and weekly board game nights make my life quite a bit better.
