What's the old saying? One man's trash is another man's treasure?

Rummage Sales are a BIG Deal in North Dakota

I have fond memories of my mother dragging my siblings and me to rummage sales across my hometown of Grand Forks when I was a very young kid. I don't remember her ever buying much, but it was a weekend tradition for us. We knew we would hit a rummage sale or two with mom.

The Highway 21 Treasure Hunt

How about a rummage sale that extends for about 100 miles? Have you ever planned a road trip around rummage sales? That's what is happening with the 24th annual Highway 21 Treasure Hunt.

This will include the communities of St. Anthony, Flasher, Carson, Elgin, New Leipzig, Mott, Regent, and New England. These rummage sales will run from 8 am to 5 pm along the highway of these cities on June 19th and June 20th, 2026.

National Recognition

The Highway 21 Treasure Hunt has received National recognition and typically draws hundreds of visitors from all over the states of North Dakota, Montana, and South Dakota.

You can expect to find a little of everything along the 100 miles of rummage sale nirvana, from baked goods, clothing items, sporting equipment, arts and crafts, to toys.

You can always take the Enchanted Highway back to Bismarck and Mandan, and really make a day of it.
