Hear More of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s ‘Keep Your Eyes on Me’
A new trailer for The Shack allows fans to hear more of "Keep Your Eyes on Me," the new duet that Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Lori McKenna and Shane McAnally wrote for the film.
Readers can press play above to watch the minute-long preview; the clip also shows McGraw in his role as Willie. The Shack tells the story of Mack Phillips (Sam Worthington)’s spiritual journey following a family tragedy; after Phillips begins questioning his beliefs and faces a crisis of faith, a mysterious letter leads him to an abandoned shack in the Oregon wilderness, where he meets a trio of strangers who help him make sense of what’s happened.
“The Tim / Faith song "Keep Your Eyes on Me" that anchors the movie is brilliant," William P. Young, who wrote the novel on which The Shack is based, tells People, "resonating perfectly with one of the film’s deepest threads: an invitation to trust."
According to McGraw, "Keep Your Eyes on Me" was inspired by a line in the movie: "There’s a part where that line is spoken," he explains, "and it was so powerful, and we took that and ran with it.”
The Shack is set for release on March 3. McGraw and Hill celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in October of 2016; during the same week, the pair received stars on the Music City Walk of Fame and hosted a sold-out “surprise” concert at the Ryman Auditorium to announce a co-headlining tour, which will begin in April. On Thursday (Jan. 12), it was announced that they will be the subjects of a Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit beginning in November.
