This road trip will take you about 4 hours to complete and has two stops in the Bismarck-Mandan area.  Including Fort Abraham Lincoln state park south of Mandan and North Dakota state library in Bismarck.  The state library is located on the capitol grounds and is in the Liberty Memorial Building. According to legend, a "stacks monster" had haunted the shelves of books for years. It was known to cast creepy shadows from unknown sources, walk through the library with audible footsteps, and even disembodied voices were heard occasionally.
