"A Night To Benefit Harper" is lining up to be a special time, moment and ability to help a fellow North Dakotan. Something we here in the 701 do best. One of North Dakota's most famous people, Gwen Sebastian, will take the stage in her hometown community with a few songs to help raise funds for a special local little girl, close to her heart. Harper Wetzel. One of Sebastian's biggest fans also happens to be her cousin. Harper was diagnosed with a brain tumor this last fall. Plan to attend the special evening in Glen Ullin, on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Have you heard the name? If not, you should know who she is. Gwen Sebastian is a talented singer-songwriter originally from Hebron, North Dakota that was a contestant on The Voice Season 2. Fast forward and today she tours the country, and the world with country music star Miranda Lambert while still continuing her own songwriting and solo career. Sebastian has created her own destiny, continuing to write, sing and perform alongside some of the world's greatest artists.
What To Expect: Basket, Silent, and Live Auctions. Free Will Donations. Plan to enjoy assorted cookies, ice cream, snacks, and beverages. Cash bar available. A Night To Benefit Harper"
Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Glen Ullin, North Dakota a wonderful benefit has been organized including an Auction (Basket, Silent, and Live), and a Night of Music. Performing live will be Gwen Sebastian, The Blue Stems, and The Queen City Band. The money raised will go to help defray the costs incurred and ongoing; as treatments are underway for seven-year-old, Harper Wetzel, who was recently diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. HARPER WETZEL
Meet Harper Wetzel, a wonderful 7-year-old that attends Glen Ullin Elementary School. Harper was recently diagnosed in October 2022 with craniopharyngioma. Craniopharyngioma is a brain tumor that is near the pituitary gland. There are only 100 people per year diagnosed with this specific tumor.
Harper is the daughter of Jesse and Kari Billman (Glen Ullin). Her grandparents are Russ and Pam (Schantz) Walter (Dickinson), Kevin Billman (Colorado), and Clarence and Beatrice Wetzel (New Salem).
Monetary donations are also being accepted at all Dakota Community Bank & Trust locations.
