Good Job Everyone, North Dakota Ranks In Top 10 For Credit Scores
Experian released the states with the best and the worst credit scores from around the country.
We all know how important it is to have good credit. It affects everything from purchasing a house and financing a car. You even have employers now asking or inquiring about your credit score before they hire you.
From looking at the data, the best scoring states tended to be northern, while those with the lowest scores were generally found in the south.
Our borrowing outside of housing is on the up-tick and has reached the highest it's been in over 2 years.
The top states with the best credit scores are-
- Minnesota #1 - average credit score of 709
- South Dakota
- North Dakota- average score of 697
- Iowa
- Nebraska
The worst states with poor scores include Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Alabama.
