Gary Allan has officially re-upped his contract with his label, Universal Music Group Nashville, which has been his label home for his entire 20-year career.

With the re-signing comes a new promotion staff from EMI, and the label couldn’t be happier to retain their longtime client, now a veteran of the country genre.

“Gary is simply one of the most interesting vocalists and stylists that country music has ever known,” says UMG Nashville Chairman & CEO Mike Dungan in a release. “He is truly a unique artist, and we are honored and thrilled to be able to continue to represent him.”

Allan released his first record in 1996, and has since sold more than 7 million copies of his nine studio albums. The singer-songwriter released a new single last year called “Hangover Tonight,” co-written by Chris Stapleton, Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe. It’s been nominated for a 2016 ACM award for Vocal Event of the Year, as it features Stapleton on background vocals.

Allan's most recent album, Set You Free, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2013 and includes his No. 1 single “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” He’s achieved three Platinum-selling records in his career thus far and earned five No. 1 hits, including “Man to Man,” “Tough Little Boys,” and “Nothing On But the Radio."

Allan has said he plans to have a new record out soon, which he's particularly excited about because he got the opportunity to produce it. In an interview with Taste of Country last year, he noted all the songs on the record reflect his own life, even if he didn’t write them himself.

“My heart’s on every one of those songs,” the singer shares.

The artist is slated to appear at the Taste of Country Music Festival this June in New York, as well as Minnesota’s WE Fest. He’s playing several additional shows and festivals this summer, the dates for which are available on Allan’s site.
