North Dakota has ZERO Dunkin' Donuts

According to VinePair, there are nearly 10,000 Dunkin' locations across the United States of America, 9,608, and North Dakota is currently one of seven states that do not have an operating Dunkin' location. The other states that lack a Dunkin' include Alaska, Montana, Idaho, South Dakota, Oregon, and Washington.

However, that is all about to change.

Fargo will have North Dakota's First Dunkin'

According to VinePair, permits were filed for a new Dunkin' store inside the Walmart off of 52nd Avenue South in Fargo, which will be North Dakota's first location. Signs are up, and the donut and coffee shop is expected to open soon.

No Longer Dunkin' Donuts

The slogan for Dunkin' is America runs on Dunkin', with the exceptions of Alaska, Montana, Idaho, South Dakota, Oregon, Washington, and North Dakota, that is, but that will soon change for our state. Dunkin' was formerly known as Dunkin' Donuts, but dropped the "donut" portion of its name back in 2018 and rebranded as Dunkin' to make its coffee the main selling point of its operation. Dunkin's main competitor is Starbucks.

Our neighbors to the east in Minnesota have a total of 38 Dunkin's across the land of 10,000 lakes, so maybe you have stopped at one recently. The state of New York has the most Dunkin's with a total of 1,426. We have a long way to go to catch up to New York in North Dakota. Hopefully, Bismarck will be next. I'm pretty sure caffeine and pastry enthusiasts would agree with me.
