Finally Caught Some Nice Fish!

This summer has been a blur!  Moving, changing jobs and selling our house, sure has cut into our lake time!  We have a lake place in North East South Dakota.  It's a hidden gem called Enemy Swim Lake near the city of Waubay, South Dakota.

People ask us all the time, why do travel so far to go to the lake?  Good question, since it is a four hour drive from our house south of Lincoln to our cabin.  It's a jaunt for sure.  If you've ever spent some time in the glacial lakes region of South Dakota you would know why we do.  Crystal clear water, beautiful lakes and some of the best Smallmouth Bass fishing in the country.

We love Walleye fishing and there are some very good Walleye lakes right in our backyard!  However, there's something about Smallmouth Bass that captures your heart.  They fight like none other and we just live for that "tug" you feel at the end of your line.  Anyway, as mentioned it's been a tough year to find time to go fishing.  Yesterday my son and I both boated a couple of SD "catch and release" whoppers and it made us remember why we go there.  We can't wait for next time!
