Extra DUI Patrol Out in Bismarck Friday Night

Extra DUI patrol teams will be out in the Bismarck area for St. Patrick's celebration Friday night to make sure our streets are safe according to Bismarck Police Department.

Extra funding to pay for the patrols were funded from the North Dakota Department of Transportation. St. Patrick's Day is one of the holidays where the public consumes the most alcohol, behind Christmas, New Years and 4th of July.

Some tips from the BPD to reduce your chance of getting busted are

• Have a designated driver
• Call a taxi cab if you're too buzzed to drive
• Take the keys from someone who is too drunk to operate a vehicle
• Call 911 if you see a drunk driver on the roads
