The Bismarck Larks are about to be featured on our nation's biggest sports network.

ESPNU will feature the Bismarck Larks in their first-ever matchup with the Minot Hot Tots on Thursday, June 22nd at Bismarck's Municipal Stadium.

This Northwoods League dual will be the first time these two teams will face each other during the inaugural season for the Minot Hot Tots.

Many of the Bismarck Larks games this year are available to stream on ESPN+ this season, but this will be the first time the Larks will be available on network TV nationwide.

Bismarck's Municipal Stadium will also be featured on ESPNU later this summer for the Northwoods League All-Star Game.

That game will take place on Tuesday, August 1st.

You can watch ESPNU locally here in Bismarck on Midco Cable TV, on Dish Network on channel 141, and on Direct TV on channel 208.

Both the Bismarck Larks and Minot Hot Tots are off to a slow start in the Northwoods League.

The Larks are currently in 4th place in the Great Plains West division with a 9-13 record.  Bismarck has only won 3 of their last 10 games.  The Minot Hot Tots as expected for a new franchise is taking their lumps.  The Hot Tots are in last place in the Great Plains West division with a 5-16 record.

Yours truly had the honor of throwing out the first pitch during a recent Bismarck Larks home game against Mankato.  I was hoping for a moment like in the movie "The Rookie" and the radar gun would read 98.  Instead, it was about 40 mph less than that, but at least it was a strike.

Take me out to the ballgame. There's nothing like it with the Bismarck Larks.
