Country star Chris Janson is on the hunt for an important missing piece of equipment. The "Buy Me a Boat" singer says that his guitar was stolen out of his car following one of his holiday Opry shows, which took place on Dec. 14 and Dec. 22, 2018.

"Over the holiday break, my custom @Fender guitar (shown in photo below) was stolen out of the car, after playing the Opry," Janson wrote in a Facebook post about the event on Jan. 3, 2019. "If ANYone sees or hears about it, please notify local PD and ME! Thanks y'all."

Janson added that -- in the spirit of the holidays -- he was still prepared to make peace with whoever it was who had taken the instrument. "And if by chance the thieves read this post, please know that I forgive, and will accept an apology and a return, with no repercussion," he added.

Despite the fact that the theft took place outside the Grand Ole Opry, Janson still has warm feelings associated with the legendary stage: He became an Opry member in 2018, where he was inducted by Garth Brooks in an emotional ceremony on March 20. Earlier in the year, he received his surprise invitation to join the storied country institution from superstar Keith Urban.

Also in 2018, Janson released "Drunk Girl," a song that helped open a conversation in country music about consent, and encouraged young men to respect women, and help them get home safely instead of taking advantage of their intoxication in order to have sex with them. "Drunk Girl" was nominated not only for Song of the Year but also Music Video of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards.
