Well, there's a slight change once again to the path of this pending winter storm. Even as of this morning, both Burleigh and Morton Counties were not included in the winter storm alerts, with the exception of a High Wind Warning for Morton County. This has now changed for Burleigh County.

The National Weather Service has increased our Chance of Snow

Burleigh County is now in a Winter Weather Advisory from 3 am Wednesday until Midnight Wednesday. Snow is expected, with total snow accumulation up to 2 inches, and winds gusting as high as 40 miles per hour. This also now includes the counties of Kidder and Stutsman. The new cities now included in the Winter Weather Advisory include Bismarck, Steele, Tappen, and Jamestown.

Impacts Expected

Travel could become difficult. Periods of blowing snow could reduce visibility, especially in open country. You can expect your Wednesday morning commute to be affected. You are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can also be accessed by calling 511.

Additional chances for snow will linger through Thursday evening, and much colder or seasonal temperatures are expected. I think our FALSE spring is officially over after today.
