Brett Eldredge Shares Ryman-Filmed ‘Castaway’ Video
Fans of Brett Eldredge, take note: The “Somethin’ I’m Good At” singer has debuted the music video for his new song “Castaway.” Readers can press play above to watch.
Filmed at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, the video for “Castaway” features Eldredge drinking at a Music City bar, then making his way to the iconic "Mother Church of Country Music." When he gets there, Eldredge walks the halls of the Ryman, eventually making his way to the stage, where he performs most of "Castaway." The woman drinking a few seats down from him in the bar eventually heads down to the Auditorium as well, no doubt enticed by Eldredge's heartfelt performance.
“Castaway” will appear on Eldredge’s self-titled third studio album, due out in early August. It's not yet a single, but in the meantime, Eldredge has been giving fans a preview of the song out on the road: Back in May, Eldredge, as a special guest on Luke Bryan’s Huntin', Fishin’ and Lovin' Every Day Tour, performed the song for a sold-out crowd of fans at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
Brett Eldredge is set for release on Aug. 4. At first, Eldredge says, he wasn't convinced that the album should be a self-titled project -- “I was kind of like, ‘I feel weird just having my name on an album,’" Eldredge says -- but he came around to the idea.
"When I really thought through it, this album fits my story, and everything that’s been built up to this point,” Eldredge adds. “You try to get this body of work for people who know you, and when they hear your song on the radio or they hear your song on a record, they know that’s you. And so now, I got to really dig deep on this record, lyrically and melodically — really, just go deeper into an album, and that’s what this album is.”
