Is a Long-Time Tenant About To Close in Bismarck's Kirkwood Mall?

There was an anonymous post on Bismarck People Reporting News on Saturday, January 10th, of a person claiming to be an employee of this business, and that they are closing. I'm still in the process of reaching out to management to confirm this. I'm not a fan of people posting anonymously on Facebook forums for numerous reasons, but this did sound legit.

We found this out firsthand about Landers' Shell and Northside Market this past week. I don't think anybody thought this iconic c-store in the Capital Region would be closing when rumors began to circulate online. As it turned out, the rumors were true. You can read more about that below.

The Business that is allegedly closing in the Kirkwood Mall is Eddie Bauer

Here's what was said in an anonymous post yesterday on Bismarck People Reporting News. "Eddie Bauer in the Kirkwood Mall location in Bismarck will be closing on January 28th, 2026." It also went on to say that the remaining inventory is 50% off and 70% off clearance. Again, this allegedly came from a current employee who didn't want to give their name for obvious reasons.

A quick search of Eddie Bauer online showed several stores were closing.

It certainly looks plausible that we are indeed losing our Eddie Bauer in Bismarck; however, there is nothing on the Eddie Bauer Bismarck Facebook Page concerning the possible closure.

We did confirm with Eddie Bauer management that the store is closing. Their last day for sales will be January 28th. We wish all of their employees the best of luck in the future.
