The sandwich landscape in Bismarck is now a little more competitive.

Bismarck's newest sub shop Firehouse Subs is now open.

According to a press release, Firehouse Subs opened up today, Tuesday, December 17th, 2024.

Firehouse Subs already has 2 locations in North Dakota already. Including, one in Minot, and Fargo. Firehouse Subs had a location in Grand Forks but it has since closed. I guess it only makes sense they would add a restaurant in the Capital City.

According to ScrapeHero, there are 1,210 Firehouse Subs locations across the United States with the majority of them in the southeast part of the country, specifically in Florida which has 179 locations, which makes up about 15% of all Firehouse Subs locations.

According to Wikipedia, Firehouse Subs is also located in countries around the world like Puerto Rico, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the Middle East.

The company was founded in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida by former firefighter brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen.

Thus, where the name Firehouse Subs came from. The interior of each location is inspired by fire stations, and you will likely see firefighter equipment and memorabilia at the new Bismarck location.

Where will the new Firehouse Subs location be in Bismarck, North Dakota?

The new Firehouse Subs will be located at 4521 Ottawa Street in North Bismarck. This location will display decor that reflects the founding family's decades of fire and police service.

There will also be a Bismarck Fire Department Firetruck, a large tree representing all four of our distinct seasons in North Dakota, and an image of a White Tail deer, common to the area.

What will you find on the menu at Firehouse Subs?

The menu features hot specialty subs, salads, and other seasonal items.  The names of the items on the menu take inspiration from the firehouse with names like Hook & Ladder, Engineer, and the Firehouse Hero.

I've personally never had a Firehouse Sub before but I'm hearing good things. We wish them all the best.
