Have your security cameras spotted the missing teen, Chase Hurdle?

The Bismarck Police Department posted, asking people and businesses to check their security cameras for a missing person named Chase Hurdle. He reportedly went missing between 8:50 AM and 9:50 AM on November 2 in the Bismarck High Area. Chase is described as "an 18-year-old African American male, 5 foot 8 inches tall, about 130 pounds with a slim build, he has brown eyes, black shoulder length afro style hair, wearing plastic framed glasses, and was last seen wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans."

Chase was reportedly seen at Memorial Bridge.

Another report from ND Response also states that Chase was seen at Memorial Bridge. And the Bismarck Tribune actually reported that a woman told the police that she saw a man jump. Whether or not there was an actual jumper has yet to be confirmed because no body was found.

Is there anything else to know about Chase?

Do you remember back in July when a person was found wandering in downtown Bismarck? The person had amnesia to the point that he did not know his own name - the police were even asking for help identifying him! And then we never heard more about this person until he went missing this week.

The public may not know a lot about Chase. But from these two instances alone, it is clear that he is being failed by the mental healthcare system. An 18-year-old with amnesia who goes missing is someone who needs and deserves proper safety care. I hope that Chase is found safe.
