It's been a tough year for athletics for the Bismarck High Demons.  Especially on the boy's side.  With the exception of the boy's wrestling team who won state again, the other boy's sports teams struggled this year.  The boy's soccer team underperformed losing the consolation championship at the state tournament.  The football team had a challenging season.  So did the Boy's hockey team with an injury-riddled year, and failing to make the state tournament back-to-back years.  The boy's basketball was two and done in the state tournament, and the baseball team failed to even reach the WDA tournament.

The lady Demons had a bit more success in 2021 & 2022.  The girl's volleyball team took second at state.  The basketball team lost the consolation championship at state, and the soccer team also made it to state.

The Bismarck High School Demons softball team did something no other team has ever done before.  They won the North Dakota state tournament this past weekend.  The Demon girls completed their dream season with an 8-7 victory over the Williston Coyotes in Jamestown, North Dakota.

Dickinson has only lost one game all season coming into the championship against Bismarck High.  They had a gaudy record of 32-1.  They were also a 13-1 in the conference.  Bismarck High finished 3rd in the WDA with a record of 10-6.  The only statistic that really matters at the end of any season is who wins the final game of the year and that went to Bismarck High.  They finished their state championship season with a final record of 19-8.  How did they celebrate?  By jumping into a pool.  You can see that video here.  Congrats again to the Bismarck High School lady Demons softball team.
