Bismarck Area Public Schools Educator Booked For Child Porn

If you have been following your nightly local news of late it seems like there is a teacher-child porn charge almost daily.

This is a very alarming trend for sure, and now this disgusting behavior has reared its ugly head in the Bismarck Public School system.

According to an obtained email sent out to parents from Bismarck Public Schools a teacher has been charged with possession and dissemination of child pornography.

John Vetter, a third-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School has been arrested.

Bismarck Public School leaders were informed that Vetter was arrested at 7:40 am this morning on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, and booked at the Burleigh County Detention Center.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation has no indication at this time that these charges are connected to Bismarck Public School's students.  Mr. Vetter has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of these charges.

Bismarck Public Schools went on to say in the email that they are waiting for more information along with the rest of the community at this time.

Lincoln families who have children who attend Lincoln Elementary, and would like more information on this case are asked to contact the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

In addition, Principal Melissa Hurt is prepared to offer additional support to families and students of Lincoln Elementary.

Bismarck Public Schools went on to say they are cooperating fully with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.  No further comments are possible at this time.
