Emmeline Ivy, who has been a mainstay here in Bismarck, has moved on.

The very popular North Dakota TV news anchor has taken a job back in her home state of Florida. She made a very heartfelt post on her Facebook page earlier today. You can read about that below.

Emmeline Ivy is well-known across the Capital Region. She lists her job description as follows on her Facebook Page.

NBC Weekend Anchor
Business/News Reporter
Producer
Former West Dakota FOX Anchor

As you can see, she has done it all, and we wish her the very best. I know I have always thought she could or should be the lead anchor on NBC. A very talented journalist who will definitely be missed by her many viewers.

Another longtime North Dakota TV News personality, John Wheeler, will give his final weather forecast this Friday.

It's amazing how we all become attached to the TV personalities we welcome into our homes every day. Much like any career field, change is inevitable, and people move on. I know when I left my last broadcasting job after 28 years, it was a mammoth decision.

I'm sure it was the same for Emmeline Ivy, and we wish her all the best in her home state of Florida. It looks bright and sunny right now on her new set, compared to a cool and wet North Dakota.

We will miss your bright way of bringing us the news in North Dakota.
