I hate to say it, but the Norsk Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota can't catch a break.  First came the unfortunate news that superstar country singer Toby Keith would have to cancel his show at Hostfest because of his cancer diagnosis.  Now, another act has canceled.  Not to mention the event has been on a 2-year hiatus because of COVID-19.

According to a press release from the Norsk Hostfest, Lady A has announced that they will be postponing over 50 shows this fall including the show at Norsk Hostfest.  Lady A was set to perform on Thursday, September 29th, 2022.  Lady A has announced that they will be postponing over 50 shows this fall including the Norsk Hostfest.  Ticket holders for the Lady A show will receive an email from Ticketmaster with instructions detailing refund request procedures. Purchased tickets will be honored for festival admittance and the replacement act on Thursday, September 29th.

If you choose to keep your tickets, no further action is needed. A replacement act is set to be announced in the near future, according to Norsk Hostfest's McKenzy Braaten.  She goes on to say, "In addition to our great line-up of main stage entertainment, ticket buyers are able to experience a wide variety of side stage entertainment, cultural exhibits, Scandinavian food and drink, and many more cultural experiences."

No explanation was given as to why Lady A has canceled, but according to Billy Dukes and our Taste of Country staff, it has to do with Charles Kelly and his journey to sobriety.
