Recent American Idol Contestant Will Perform In North Dakota

The Lights venue in West Fargo, North Dakota, just added a little home cooking to their already exciting summer country concert lineup. A recent American Idol contestant from Fergus Falls, Minnesota, which is about 45 minutes southeast of Fargo on Interstate 94, will open up for country superstar Brantley Gilbert.

American Idol Contestant Chris Tungseth will Perform at The Lights

Chris Tungseth was born in Mankato, Minnesota, which is located in the southeastern part of the state, but relocated to Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in 2007 because of his father's ministry, according to TV Insider.

Tungseth had a helluva run on American Idol, as he finished in the Top 5 of Season 24 of the popular singing competition, and was eliminated on May 4th, 2026, just before the Top 3 and the season finale.
