The Mardi Gras for motorcycles officially kicks off Monday, August 8th in Sturgis, South Dakota.

This is the 76th annual party where millions of motorcyclist of all ages spend at least a day in South Dakota. You can see the live web-cams here, as main street is already getting ready for the vendors and party goers.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is seven days of non stop action, everything from motorcycle rides to concerts to one of a kind sights. The party actually is 2 weeks of fun and sights as many rider always show up the week and weekend prior to the kick off.

The local hot spot Full Throttle Saloon was demolished as it caught fire and was burned to the ground in September of last year. The owners Micheal and Angie Ballard and partner Jessie James Dupree have made a commitment to rebuild Full Throttle.The new location will be a 600 acre attraction hosting RVs and unlimited campers for the first time in the saloon's history.  Honoring the rally's founder, plans to name the facility "The Pappy Hoel Campground" have been announced.
