A Feel Good Story That North Dakotans Can Relate To

I absolutely loved reading this, a story about compassion, true concern for others, and a textbook "North Dakota Nice". This is also something we can all relate to, whether it's happened to us or someone we know. I like to say that if this happened anywhere outside of North Dakota, the events that took place might be completely different.

When you come across someone in need of immediate help, do you turn your head and keep driving?

There will be a time in your life that you come across this situation, it tests what kind of person you are. In Minot this past week, a complete stranger was on the road when she came across a car crash that had just taken place. Without giving it a second thought, she pulled over and raced to one of the vehicles. Her only focus was to be of help, to anyone that needed it. Now I can sense you nodding your head, you know that's how most people are out here, we care for others first, and think of ourselves only later.

 A couple of seconds was all it took for one stranger to make a difference in someone's life

According to kxnet.com Cameon Eisenzimmer was the driver that raced out of her car to help “It’s always been engrained. I don’t know if you want to call it North Dakota nice, or whatever you want to call it, but my mom had always taught me that you never know if it could be you or somebody you know or a friend or family in the vehicle,” As she sat in the wrecked car of a stunned driver, she took her hand and comforted her, helped calm Molly Haffner down. Fortunately, there were no major injuries.

kxnet.com reported that Molly had this to say “She made sure I stayed in my car and helped me and just kept reassuring me that a car’s replaceable and I’m not. And she was just very happy that I was OK,” Then she left, no expected fanfare, no waiting around for a "Thank you", just an extremely modest individual. Molly's mom Jolene reached out and posted online through social media find and thank Cameon. It worked. With one simple amazing reply, Eisenzimmer humbly answered by asking how Molly was doing.
