The amount would gradually decrease for people earning more than that, and if you make more than $95 grand you are out of luck. The income limits double for married couples who file their taxes jointly. You may also see something for your children.

But fewer checks may go out if Republicans and moderate Democrats can agree with the Biden plan. Another fly in the ointment, that could delay a check to your household is former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial. If all goes well, you can expect a check as early as mid March.
