15 Year Old Boy Loses His Life In Fatal Crash In Bismarck
Sad news to report from an email obtained from the Bismarck Police Department. A 15- year-old boy was involved in a fatal crash Sunday evening.
This happened at the intersection of East Century Avenue and Ontario Lane around 10:30 pm Sunday night in north Bismarck.
The 15-year-old Bismarck resident was traveling eastbound in a truck through the intersection of Century Avenue and Ontario Lane, and Jolene Stockert, 45 of Bismarck was making a left turn to go southbound on Ontario Lane in a car. The 15-year-old driver of the eastbound truck crashed into the back-passenger portion of the vehicle traveling south and caused significant damage to both vehicles. Jolene Stockert was uninjured and denied medical attention on the scene. The 15-year-old was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.
The collision appears to be the result of speed and it's believed that was a significant factor in the crash. The Bismarck Police Department's Traffic Unit continues to investigate the circumstances.
The name of the 15-year-old boy from Bismarck has not been released yet.
