There’s Something “Fishy” About A New Business In Bismarck

Bismarck, North Dakota is about to get a new pet store.

This pet store however appears to be mostly about fish of the saltwater variety. According to a post on their Facebook page, Pirate's Cove Aquatix is set to open in Bismarck.  Their address is 1029 S Washington Street in South Bismarck.

They're planning a "soft" opening sometime next week.  In a recent Facebook post, they announced that limited dry goods and fresh and saltwater will be available for this "soft" opening.

Pirate's Cove Aquatix will also be offering maintenance services on aquariums. 

Pirate's Cove Aquatix will even come to your home or business to set up aquariums. It appears they will be selling saltwater fish, coral, and related products in their store.

It looks like Pirate's Cove Aquatix will be a big fish in a small pond.  They will be the only pet store in Bismarck that specializes in fish.  They will be competing against Petco in South Bismarck and Pet Smart in North Bismarck.

I've always wanted to set up a big aquarium in my basement.  Instead of saltwater fish, I wanted to do something you would see at a Cabela's store with freshwater fish we catch right here in North Dakota.  Walleyes, Smallmouth Bass, Bluegills, Crappies, etc.  That's a dream of mine, but I will need a lot bigger house.

They plan on doing something "fun" for their official Grand Opening.

Talk about being Koi, I guess we will have to wait to "sea" what they have to offer.
