Let's face it, we don't get a lot of respect in North Dakota.

Yes, I know how to spell it correctly.  The misspelled title above is a JOKE!  It's funny how many people I see on social media who have no clue how even to spell the name of our state, let alone our cities. Even the company I work for frequently misspells the city I work in.

Isn't North Dakota a province of Canada?

In fact, I was telling a friend who is not from North Dakota that some people in the United States think North Dakota is a part of Canada.  No lie.  When I lived in California for a while, that came up several times from the brilliant people in Hollyweird.  You know who you are.

North Dakota should actually get a lot of respect.

We're about the only state in the country that could exist on its own.  I read recently we have enough coal to last for over 900 years. We all know about North Dakota's oil, natural gas, agriculture, and not to mention our military and nuclear power.  Yep, our little "flyover state" would instantly elevate to one of the superpowers of the world in a very short time.

No, I'm not suggesting North Dakota does this, but it would be nice to get a little respect from the rest of the country.  Are you listening Minnesota?

Some of our North Dakota towns get misspelled more than others.  That got me thinking about putting together a top 10 list of the most misspelled cities in North Dakota.
