BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler says two North Dakota teachers have won Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
Aaron Knodel, North Dakota's 2014 Teacher of the Year, was suspended without pay Monday night in the wake of allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old in 2009. The suspension was decided in a vote by the West Fargo School Board.
