As you may recall, the three beloved Peanuts specials were moved last year to Apple TV+ and left off traditional free TV channels.  Well, after last years uproar, you will be able to catch the 3 Peanuts specials on good ol' regular TV.  They will still be available on Apple TV+, but now you have a free option too.

Not that Apple TV+ is a whole lot of money.  A subscription will run you about $5.00 bucks a month, but it's the principle of the whole thing right?  These have been free specials that we've looked forward to and watched since we've been kids.  We have planned our Friday nights or holiday gatherings around them.  It's only right they are back on normal TV stations.

Here is the broadcast schedule for our fall Peanuts favorites:

“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” -- 6:30 p.m. CST on Sunday, Oct. 24 on PBS and PBS Kids.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” -- 6:30 p.m. CST on Sunday, Nov. 21 on PBS and PBS Kids

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” -- 6:30 p.m. CST on Sunday, Dec. 19 on PBS and PBS Kids.

PBS in Bismarck is channel 3-1 and digital channel 22.3.

In case you're wondering, you've been watching these holiday specials for decades now.  The annual TV specials have become iconic holiday shows that have been shared with families for generations.  "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" premiered all the way back in 1966.  The Thanksgiving special came out in 1973 and the oldest of the bunch is the Charlie Brown Christmas special which came out in 1965.  I still remember the first time I had my son watch one of the specials and the smiles and wonder of it all.  Such special memories.
